5 DAYS BEAUTY OF RWANDA

Day 1: ARRIVAL IN KIGALI AND TRANSFER TO THE HOTEL

Arrival at the Kigali International Airport, meet and greet with the guide and give you a short briefing about the trip. Transfer to the Hotel, check in and acclimatize to the climate of Rwanda. Dinner and overnight at Good news guesthouse/ Onomo Hotel/ Marriott hotel

Day 2: KIGALI CITY EXPLORATION & GENOCIDE MEMORIAL CHURCHES

Breakfast at the hotel later start the Kigali city exploration. Get to learn more about Rwanda from the pre-colonial, colonial and post-colonial era as well as Genocide times. Visit the Kigali Genocide Memorial where over 259,000 Genocide victims were put to rest in mass graves. Visit the Belgian camp where 10 UN peace keepers were killed before the start of Genocide trying to protect the moderate prime minister Agathe Uwiringiyimana. Afternoon drive to Bugesera to visit Ntarama and Nyamata Genocide memorial churches where thousands of Tutsis were killed in Genocide expecting to be safe in the house of God. Transfer back to Kigali. Dinner and overnight at Good news guesthouse/ Onomo Hotel/ Marriott hotel

Day 3: TRANSFER TO NYUNGWE NATIONAL PARK ENROUTE VISIT MUSEUMS – KING’S PALACE AND ETHNOGRAPHIC MUSEUM

After breakfast drive to Nyungwe forest enroute visit the King’s palace in Nyanza and traditional Rwanda homes. Proceed to Butare where there the Ethnographic museum (it used to be the Rwanda National Museum) is located, very big museum rich in history. You get to explore how Rwandans lived, their dressing, cooking, entertaining methods, etc.
Lunch followed by the drive to Nyungwe National Park. Dinner and overnight at Gisakura Guesthouse/ Nyungwe Top View Hotel/ Nyungwe House

Day 4: CHIMPANZEE TREKKING & CANOPY WALK WAY IN NYUNGWE NATIONAL PARK

Early morning (4am) breakfast at the hotel then drive to the Park reception for the briefing and grouping followed by the tracking of chimpanzees.  Lunch at the hotel and refreshment.

Afternoon visit the famous canopy walk way, a 70 m high artificial bridge. One of its kind in East Africa, get to see the beautiful views of the thick forest and different bird species at the crown of the trees. Dinner and overnight at Gisakura Guesthouse/ Nyungwe Top View Hotel/ Nyungwe House

Day 5: VISIT THE TEA ESTATE & TRANSFER TO KIGALI AND TO AIRPORT

Breakfast at the hotel and start the walk around the park to visit the tea estate. Drive back to Kigali. Buy souvenirs at Caplak art shop/ Inema Art center if time allows then transfer to Airport. END OF SERVICE!
